Mechanical Surrealism for Indio: Head Trip 2026 Poster
Complex industrial illustration takes center stage in this monochrome screenprint design, built around a dense assemblage of interlocking gears, dials, pressure gauges, and exposed mechanical components. At the core of the machine sits a human eye framed by a brass-style viewport, gazing outward from a tangled framework of optical lenses, springs, and precision clockwork. The linework delivers sharp depth across every bolt and cog, contrasting heavy shadows against crisp white highlights on a solid black field.
The visual layout balances technical drafting with bold festival typography. Running vertically along the left flank, “HEAD TRIP” anchors the frame in clean, heavy block lettering beneath a subtle “Goldenvoice presents” credit. Numbered operational cues—”1. switching frequencies to high alert!”, “2. ejecting thought engagement mode”, and “3. now let’s trip…”—weave around the central machinery, leading downward to event dates and location markers for October 10 & 11 in Indio, California.
A two-column grid across the base maps out the weekend lineup. Saturday listings feature Calvin Harris alongside Under Construction (Fisher + Chris Lake), Peggy Gou b2b Four Tet, and Seth Troxler b2b Ben Sterling. Sunday presents Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, Dom Dolla b2b Kettama, The Blessed Madonna, DJ Harvey, and Floating Points, backed by the Sunflower Sound System running throughout the weekend at Empire Polo Club.
